About Us

Your Child Is in Great Hands

Educational Gardening

Our Mission

Our mission is to help the child develop a seed of AIRCCC: Appreciation, Independence, Responsibility, Creation, Collaboration & Confidence, and move toward a healthy and happy life tree.

As a culturally based  Music Mandarin School, we are providing the most inclusive and supportive care.

We want all children, including infants, toddlers and preschoolers, especially BIPOC, ESL, Disabled and LGBTQ children to celebrate their identity and culture within a multicultural setting that is considerate of their diverse backgrounds. Moreover, they will grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially by learning through bilingually immersed, and musically enriched high-quality early childhood learning experiences.

We want all children to have nurturing and reliable relationships with a home-like environment and teachers majoring in music and trained in using Montessori methods.

We want all children to experience developmentally appropriate methods to resolve conflicts:

1. Positive guidanceWhen disputes arise among children or between a child and staff, the staff will encourage a “talking out” process where the goal is to acknowledge feelings and find solutions using the children’s ideas wherever possible.

2. Setting clear limitsStaff will encourage and model positive behavior, positive reinforcement, the use of peer support and clearly defined rules.

3. RedirectionA child who may be aggressive or who is disruptive or destructive of other children’s work may be asked to make an activity choice in another area.

We want all children to experience multicultural traditions and festivals through music, artwork, dance, food, stories, costumes and games.Additionally, we will provide bilingual piano, choir and Mandarin tutors for K-12 children as an after-school program, which I have been doing for over 14 years. I will combine my preschoolers and k-12 children to prepare a series of concerts and be immersed in local cultural events and celebrations all year round. Some will be public events, such as the Lansu Chinese Garden and Pioneer Courthouse Square activities. I am considering other cultural events such as the Lunar New Year Celebration, Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, Three Nations of Cultural Exchange event (China, Korea and Japan) and other volunteer events such as performing at a retirement home or a school.

We want to build up a safe & healthy & happy environment, nurturing joyful children, supporting thriving families and connecting diverse communities!

Our Story

    Hello! Nǐ hǎo!

I am a young mother of a 2 year-old girl, I call her Little Star. Like your kiddos, she used to be one of the shining stars in the sky and thought who she would choose to be her mama...Turned out I am so lucky and honored to be the one!  How should I grow to be qualified and a good mama? How should I create a better home environment for her development? How should I better love her? I think those are the three same questions from every new mama.

A beautiful morning in the Spring 2023 , my respected teacher professor Weiwei Lou, house hold educator of the Asian -American community, told me a piece of important information: Oregon State is greatly supporting child care business, there is a fund opportunity, you should go to learn and try! Since then until today, 18 months, I have successfully gotten the fund, one of the 50 winners out of 840 a applicants, and successfully gotten my Registered Family child learning and care license after countless professional trainings, house environment corrections and forms... I feel like I just finished a new degree! My goodness! Hooray!

Finally, today , I am ready to answer those 3 questions:

1. Keep learning and growing with your child together is the best way to be qualified and a good mother.

2. To do house corrections according to the list from ODEL, like fire extinguishers, of Smoke & CM detectors, outlet covers, childproof locks, changing tablecloth material, crib sheet tightness... I will share this long yet super helpful list in Resource Part for you.

3. In my opinion, the best love is to set up a good learning example and offer the good quality accompany. If mommies=heroes think alike, let's build up a good development community for kiddos together! Little Star is also very hospitable and friendly, she likes reporting, her daddy and I almost lost all the secrets, and will eventually...We would love to embrace more little friends at our home, more than welcome!  Last but not least, I would like to acknowledge all my great coaches, friends and family!I truly appreciate dear Professor Weiwei Lou who shared info and gave me lots of encouragement and guidance during the whole processI truly appreciate my dear friend and director Holly who has 15+ years' child care experience and gave me lots of help and support whenever I need help I truly appreciate my professional and patient fund coaches Ms. Eugenie S. Adamah-Tassah who is the SB project manager, and Ms. Toni Naranjo-Rivera who is the grant directorI truly appreciate Ms. Violeta Rubiani, the Program Director of Community Funds, who spent lots of time coordinating my fund award and gave me understanding and encouragement.I truly appreciate my license specialist of DELC Ms. Kirsi Baird who came to my home 2 times and guided me to finish all the house corrections until passing my license.I truly appreciate Ms.Patti Steele (She/Her)who is an Early Childhood Education Consultant, helped me finish all the required trainings, publicizing my school and whatever I just need to ask. Last but not least, I truly appreciate all the support from my dear family: Little Star, Baba, Yeye, Laolao, Laoye, Nainai, Shushu, Yiyi...It's absolutely a wonderful TEAM WORK! I am also proud of myself, lots of learning until late middle nights, lots of frustrations, yet lots of patience and hopes... Without all my dear friends and dear family's unwavering trust and support, I couldn't make it!

I cherish, I believe and I love.
